Continually engaged in teaching activities, IRHT maintains several written records of them in pedagogical publications accessible on our web site. The institute welcomes advanced students and researchers to attend its ‘initiation’ course on the medieval manuscript and its specialised seminars, and it contributes to professional work experience through internships in its centre for digital resources.
Every year IRHT offers a one-week introductory course concerning the medieval manuscript, early printed books, and various scholarly disciplines to advanced students and researchers from the world over. At a more specialized level, the seminars at IRHT are organised in tandem with the research interests of the sections or with those of individual members of staff. These regular encounters contribute to the circulation of information and cultivate scholarly exchange. IRHT offers a unique array of formative gatherings that improve the scholar’s access to the sources of medieval history.
The sections and services also host interns who, within the framework of their training, wish to become acquainted with the professional activities of IRHT. In particular, the centre for digitized resources offers on-the-job training in digital photography and the management of image files, systems and networks, development and inter-operability, and publication.
